Perfect hotel for a city trip in Cairo

For a Hotel of this medium price range it was extraordinarily good. Staff is very friendly and helpful, rooms are nice and breakfast is good. Also the location is great. For a city trip it’s perfect!

Hotel is OK, good value for money

Breakfast was good, room clean and everything working, location well suitable for me, reception staff helpful

OK for a quick stopover night but very basic and old school.

This is a clean but very old school hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful and it is in a pleasant part of town quite near the airport.

The room was hot so don't expect much from the ancient aircon controls. Also the wifi doesn't really work in the room.

Basic good value hotel with great city public transport connections close to airport

3 minutes walk from the Cairo Metro station (El Ahram). 15 minutes free shuttle bus to airport. Friendly and helpful staff with good English. Nice bathroom, TV, Fridge. Nice continental breakfast with cheerful staff despite it being Ramadan.

Room on the small side, no kettle or makings for coffee or tea in room, however room service very prompt for any requests for hot beverages.

Bad impression at Beireut Hotel

The location

From the start the receptionist gave wrong breakfast time. When we checked-in, the room was not done. In the bathroom there was two used cotton pads on the bath, hairs on the bath and on the floor and no paper rolls. It took them two visits to clean the bathroom. Then the supervisor asked us to have a coffee as a a compensation for the bad experience, which we did not. The following morning at 6 AM there was four guys sleeping at the entrance of the restaurant. The breakfast was poor, the bread was one or two days old, with little choice. Comparing the Alexandria Hotel breakfast the Alex one had more choices despite being 25 US$ less. Not impress.

It did what it said on the can. Ok for a night or two.

The location for my visits to the dentist was perfect. They didn't hassle me when I woke up late and hence checked out late. I liked that.

Pricy hotel, ok for a single night

Location near the airport without the prices of the real airport hotels. Neighborhood with many shops. Seventh floor made the street noise bearable.

The toilet was running which caused noise and even three calls to the reception didn't cause the problem to be fixed. The carpet was wet in front of the fridge.

Better than appears at first glance

At first glance the hotel looks a bit shabby, but once you go up to the rooms they seem newly refurbished and are very clean. Shampoo etc., as if you are in a higher starred hotel. The staff is extremely friendly. I arrived at 6AM, received airport pick up for free by shuttle, and was allowed to check out 5 hours after the normal check out time. I didn't have breakfast because I was sleeping after my trip and only stayed the 1 night.

Good for budget conscious and public transport.

Good size rooms and beds. Very helpful staff. Excellent room rate.

Breakfast was good but a bit more variety would be better. Traffic noise is significant, but ok with door/Windows closed.

The cleaning is bad The room floor have some dirty liquids The room don't have a working electricity plugs except one. The room service came to give me what I requested without having any money as a change and never give it to me back after.
